Lily's Dedication

We had Lily's dedication the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We couldn't feel more blessed to be the parents of this sweet little girl! We know God has an amazing plan for Lily and we are excited to watch it unfold. The life verse we have chosen for Lily is Psalm 119:73-74 "Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands. May those who fear you rejoice when they see me, for I have put my hope in your word." Here are some pics from Lily's special day:

Our Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Moorlags this year. We were so excited for Lily to get to meet some more of her cousins! Lily seemed a little overwhelmed with all the activity, but she started to calm down as time went on. Regardless there were lots of open arms to welcome her :) Logan had a blast playing with all the kids. He is pretty bored at home now with only dad, mom and Lily to entertain him. Time always seems to go so fast when we get together. It always leaves us waiting anxiously for our next visit!

It's Cold Outside!

Well the snow finally found its way to MN. I have to admit I love how everything looks so peaceful with a fresh layer of snow and chunky snowflakes falling. Logan was very excited about the snow this morning. He was pulling daddy then mommy over to the window exclaiming "It's snowing!" Thankfully Ryan was able to get the yard all cleaned up for the last time before all this snow sets in. Now we are hiding away in our cozy home. I have these baking in the oven. Yum!!! And we will be setting up our Christmas tree later tonight. I know some people may think it is too early, but we will be gone next weekend. And since Christmas is a favorite holiday in this household, no one seems to mind. On a completely unrelated topic, we snapped some pictures of Lily during her bath time a couple days ago. When I saw the pictures I thought they looked pretty close to some other ones we had :) I am probably the only one who really enjoys the comparison...but it is all in fun.

2 Month Stats

Well I thought I should finally get around to posting Lily's two month stats. Mainly so when I need to refer back to them I know where to look. She is changing so quickly! It is fun to watch all the new things she is learning. She has rolled over about 5 times from her tummy to back, but has stopped showing interest in this recently. The other day she grabbed for her vibrating toy on her car seat and was pulling on it. She also has been waking up twice during the night sometimes, which is annoying since I know she would only need to wake up once. But I figure since she goes to bed early that is the pay off! If we put her down later than she will only wake up once. Anyways here are the stats from her appt:

Weight: 12.7 lbs - 83%
Length: 24.25 in - 96%
Head: 15.5 in - 62%

Birthday Party

We headed to Iowa this past weekend to celebrate cousin Brayden's 3rd birthday. Logan has really been enjoying all the family time! Here are some pictures from the weekend.

2 Months

Lily turned two months yesterday. It already seems like she has been a part of our family forever; yet also like we just took her home from the hospital yesterday! She is such a sweetie and we are so blessed to be parents of this little girl! I don't have any stats for her yet because her MD appt isn't until Friday. I tried weighing her the other day and it said she was about 12.6 lbs so we'll see what the clinic says. She is still a good sleeper...yeah! She goes to bed around 8 pm and usually doesn't get up until 2-3 then goes back down until about 6-6:30. On the days I don't work she'll often go down again after that. Her schedule during the day varies but I'm sure as she gets older that will change. She gives us beautiful smiles everyday and is trying to talk some more too. I'm trying to soak up every moment during this cuddly stage!!! Oh and if you want to see if she looks anything like her brother at two months click here! Logan already had his big brown eyes at two months. I'm thinking Lily's are going to stay blue. I guess we'll see! Here are some pics of Miss Lily :)
