Yummy

Logan really enjoyed eating his cereal for the first time. He kept grabbing my hand to shove more in his mouth. He definitely seemed ready for it!

Four years ago (yesterday) I married my best friend :-) Cheesy, but true. We have actually been together for 10 years....married for four of them. We think it is so fun to have lots of memories together! This past year of marriage has certainly been one to remember! Welcoming little Logan into the world. Safe to say one of the best years ever!

We are going out to celebrate this weekend. Grandpa and Grandma Bonnema are coming up to watch Logan. Our first night away. I'm already anxious. I'm sure everything will be just fine, but it is hard to be away from your baby. You just never know when he'll need you. I'm sure Grandpa and Grandma will do great. They have already been warned that they'll be getting up in the middle of the night. Although Logan did sleep through the night again 8-5:30.....we'll see how tonight goes!

Jinx

Well I think I jinxed having wonderful sleep filled nights by posting that Logan had been doing really good at falling asleep. We just can't seem to get a consistent pattern. Some nights he goes down super good, other nights it is a battle. My sister, Becky, tells me I just need to stick to our method and he will eventually catch on. His nights are just so inconsistent I find myself double guessing everything I do. Should I let him cry longer, should we take away his paci, am I giving him too many naps, did I feed him enough....the list goes on. I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever get a full night of sleep again? Most people tell me I won't be sleeping well for 18 more years....sigh.

Same Old, Same Old

Well things have been pretty routine for us lately. It has been nice to just be around home and get things done. Logan is the center of our attention and he couldn't be happier about it! It is so fun to watch his little personality come out. He is so interested in grabbing at things. Loves to roll over and be on his tummy. Enjoys putting things in his mouth. Pulls on mommy's hair. Loves grabbing at your face. He always keeps a very close eye on us when we are eating. I'm sure he'll be excited to start rice cereal in a couple weeks...or maybe not...we'll see?
I am thankful to say that he actually slept through the night. It only took five and a half months!! He slept from 8-5 on Monday night and then went down for another hour and half after he ate. I consider this a huge success since he has a tendency to get up around 12 or 1. Last night he still woke up at 4 but went back down for 2 hours after he nursed. We had went away from having him cry it out to sleep. Not on purpose but because he usually fell asleep after he was fed so I just put him in his crib. To avoid the continuous night wakings I've been trying to keep him awake while he eats and then I put him in his crib awake. The last couple nights have worked out great. He only cries for 5-10 minutes and then falls asleep. Hopefully it continues. I still haven't figured out how to stop the early morning wakings, but I figure we'll take it one step at a time. Here are a few pictures of the little man :-)

On The Roll!

Logan has a fun trick he has newly mastered. Rolling over! Last week he had been working so hard at it, and now this week he instantly rolls over when you put him on his back. So cute we had to share it with you :-)
