Lily Is One!

I feel bad that it has taken me this long to get up a post about our sweet Lily turning one!  Lily turned one on August 22nd.  Lil's first year went so fast for me...way faster than Logan's first year.  I'm sure it has something to do with having two little ones to chase after rather than just one!  We have enjoyed watching her grow up this past year.  She has changed so much.  Although she looks just like her brother their personalities are a lot different.  Lily is much more daring and busy!  She took her first steps around 10 1/2 months, 11 months she would try to get up and go a lot, she would make it several steps but often fell right back on her bum, now she is up and walking everywhere!  The other day she found herself on top of the kids picnic table we have on the deck...sheesh!  She is pretty laid back, although with walking now she always wants to go and doesn't want to be picked up as much.  And the best thing about Lily is she is a snuggler and we love every second when she wants to lay her head down on our shoulders.  She is kind of a daddy's girl....and dad doesn't mind this at all!  Ryan has a very soft spot in his heart for Lily.  I don't think it will ever be too hard for her to get whatever she wants from him :)  Lily also loves her brother.  Logan is still probably the one that can get her laughing and smiling the most just by looking at her.  It is fun to watch them interact with each other.  Since Ryan grew up with all boys and I grew up with all girls, we are excited to see how things go with this brother/sister relationship.  We truly couldn't feel more blessed to have this little girl in our lives!  Lily you are so very loved!!

Moorlag's Vacation {Sheboygan, WI}

It seems like ages ago already since we were on our Moorlag family vacation in mid August.  We stayed on a resort right off Lake Michigan and the views were so relaxing!  The kiddos had so much fun playing with their cousins.  We are missing everyone, but as always cherish the memories we made together :)  Here are some pictures from our time together.

Logan's 3!

On August 5th our baby boy turned 3!  Those three years sure did go fast.  Logan has grown up so much.  He has such a personality and makes us smile every day.  He loves Lily so much and is a great big brother.  Every morning when Lily gets up he runs up to her and says "oh sweetie" or "good morning sweetie".  It is super cute.  Even though we know Logan loves his sister there are times where you would think the world was ending because Lily got into one of his toys or is touching his blanket.  Unfortunately at the turn of 3 tantrums do not stop :(  Logan is getting better about understanding consequences for his bad behavior so we are working through those moments.

We are having a combined party for Logan and Lily because their birthdays are so close together.  But we wanted to make Logan's actual birthday special for him.  Both grandparents came to visit for the day.  We all headed off to Como Zoo in the afternoon to check out the rides.  Logan enjoyed himself!  Here are some pics of his big day.
